Installation status

Public package status: the Python distributions and desktop installers are not released yet. These pages document an evolving interface, not currently usable install artifacts. View release status.

Current release status

MedOtter does not currently publish a supported Python SDK, benchmark package, or desktop installer. The similarly named distributions on PyPI are placeholders/name reservations, not functional MedOtter releases. Do not use them as installation artifacts.

The source repositories used for active development are also not a public installation channel. This page will publish versioned, tested commands when the first public packages are ready.

What is public today

The Leaderboard publishes approved evaluation results with task and dataset-version context.
Public models and datasets remain browsable in the MedOtter Hugging Face organization.
These documentation pages describe the evolving SDK and evaluation interfaces so their design can be reviewed before release.

Release requirements

Before an install command appears here, the referenced artifact must be publicly downloadable, versioned, and validated by the release workflows. The desktop availability page follows the same rule: a platform card becomes a download link only after its public artifact passes validation.

Until then, treat API examples elsewhere in these docs as interface previews, not as instructions for installing a supported package.
